Jeff was born on October 15, 1961 in St. Paul, MN to Norman and Virginia (Olson) Vogt. He spent most of his childhood in Newport, MN. Then his family moved to Cushing, WI, where he made many new friends. Before finishing high school, his parents moved to Taylors Falls, MN, where he made many more life-long friends in the St. Croix River valley.
Jeff lived life on his own terms, living on the edge. He enjoyed being a drummer with his many bands, as well as using his creative carpentry skills.
Jeff loved to visit with people as they were drawn to his warm heart and laughter. Everywhere he went he always made new friends.
Music was his passion, flying was his ultimate freedom, and the St. Croix River was the song of his heart.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Virginia (Olson) Vogt.
Jeff is survived by his children, Cassie Vogt and Anthony Vogt; special friends, Lu Ann and Mike Peterson; Sisters, Debbie (Scott) Dirtzu and Brenda (Kurt) Tebben, many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church, 2355 Clark Rd., Dresser, WI. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Dresser, WI. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at a later date.
