Lake Area Bank’s Mitten Drive exceeds goal for the second year in a row.  During the holiday season, Lake Area Bank organized its second annual Mitten Drive collecting new winter-wear items and monetary donations for local children and young adults in need.  The response from the community, customers and staff was immediate.  By the third week of a five-week campaign, the bank had 500 items, or monetary equivalency.  The final results were impressive with 559 donated winter-wear items in addition to $613 for purchasing further items.  Donations will be distributed to disadvantaged youth through the Hats & Mittens organization.  This is a prime example of how this community bank supports their communities and demonstrates the bank’s passion for making a difference in peoples lives.
