Pinky is survived by his daughter Cindy Krause; nephews Dennis (Pat) Morrison, Mike (Christi) Morrison and Bill Morrison; nieces Beth Olson, Donna (Terrance) Johnson, and Patty (Marty) Anderson; many great nieces and nephews; and longtime friend Sharlene McChesney.
Pinky worked in implement business with his father Glenn during his school years. He also disc farmed and had a filling station in Cavalier, North Dakota. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Hazelden as a cook and then purchased the Atom Inn in Lindstrom, Minnesota in which he outgrew and later purchased the Old Brick Inn and renamed Swedish Inn. He also started a restaurant in Rush City, Minnesota and St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin and built a mall in Center City, Minnesota which included the Swedish Village Restaurant that he owned. Thanks to all the friends and patrons throughout the years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota with visitation from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service. A private interment will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
