A bear in a wooded area near downtown Chisago City was “removed” by police and Dept. of Natural Resources about 3 p.m.
June 3 a woman reported in labor at an address in Lindstrom. She delivered the newborn at the residence and ambulance emergency medical technicians transported the mother and child to St. Croix Regional Medical Center. Called in about 5:45 a.m.
June 2 Wyoming Police and Lakes Area and deputies worked to set up a perimeter near Hallberg Outdoor Storage, on 260th Street, about 9:45 p.m. when a suspicious vehicle was reported. The man fleeing the vehicle was not found and authorities cleared the area about 1 a.m. Authorities determined there was a warrant from Ramsey County for a reported felony weapons offense and that’s why they were seeking the subject.
May 29 a dog described as “unprovoked” bit another dog on the walking trail on Olinda in Lindstrom. Dog was classified a “dangerous dog” under state and local laws and will conform to conditions.
The mini-storage on Forest Blvd. in Harris was broken into and several units’ locks were cut. Losses are being inventoried.
Lakes Area Police and North Branch Police each dealt with one attempted suicide, one subject was transported for observation. There also was one death by suicide that fell under sheriff’s jurisdiction.
