Lakes Area Police had several calls for domestic incidents over last week and numerous medical calls were reported. The annual compliance checks for tobacco sales were done last week and two clerks (working at Wally Carlson and Chisago City Warehouse Liquor) sold tobacco to a trained minor-aged undercover buyer.  The department utilizes a state grant to pay for costs to conduct license checks for compliance.

Osceola Road-95 incident
Sheriff’s personnel were working the scene of a minor crash on Hwy. 95 near the Osceola Road, approximately 5 p.m.  last week when a second crash happened in the same vicinity sending one to the hospital in an air ambulance.

MN State Patrol reports a motorcycle driven by Donald Heider, 86, no address-- pulled out from the stop at #243 onto Hwy. 95 and struck a southbound Honda CRV.  The Honda driver, June Schifsky, 66 and a passenger, were not hurt.  A 14-year-old motorcycle passenger was ejected from the bike but also was not hurt. The driver of the motorcycle was not helmeted.

Sheriff’s office took report of theft of riding lawnmower from Kost Church. Lock on storage shed was cut. Item is a Ferris zero-turn.
