Two Lakes Area Police citations were issued to high school students and one middle schooler violated tobacco policy at the schools.
A counterfeit $5 bill was reported at Arby’s in Lindstrom May 11.
May 12 tampering with a motor vehicle-- a door lock was punched out-- on Jeffrey Ave., Chisago City.
A complaint to Lakes Area of rabbits being trapped and killed in a Lindstrom neighborhood. Complainant was advised this is legal.
May 13 a fire in a tree near a residence on Sunrise Road, reported about 1 p.m. Handled by fire department and DNR.
Also theft of semi trailer truck rims from an address on Bremer Ave. in Rush City was reported. Quick communication with scrap yards in the region, revealed that the rims were in the process of a transaction, and authorities were able to halt transaction at the bank. Charges are pending against person caught trying to cash the check for the rim purchase.
A fire near Alpine Avenue May 13 reported about 9 p.m. Fire jumped from a recreational bonfire by lake.
