Ronald Ernest Bergerson, age 74, died October 24, 2017 in a work related accident. He was born October 7, 1943 in St. Croix Falls, wisconsin to Ernest and Elverna Bergerson. The family lived in Wyoming, Minnesota. He graduated from Chisago Lakes High School in 1961 and enlisted in the Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Spiegel Grove L.S.D. from 1961-1964 as Machinst Mate Third Class. His Nave excursions took him to the Persian Gulf and the Middle East. He returned to Wyoming after his stint in the Navy in 1963, and worked as an iron worker for several different contractors. In 1967, he married Linda Kubat and had three sons; Chris, Wade and Eric.  The family lived on Lake Comfort.  He worked for Otis Elevator where he was offered a foreman jobbut turned it down to start his own trenching excavation sewer business.

In 1973, the family moved to North Branch to a farm and remodeled the house extensively. Ronnie enjoyed hunting and fishing when younger, along with old-time dancing and playing cribbage, where he was sought as a partner for his skill. Later, he liked to socialize with his friends at the wagon wheel Cafe and the Swedish Inn.

He was very kind-hearted and generous, always willing to help someone out. It was not unusual for him to pull out a $100 bill and give to someone who needed help. He would often do work for free. Many people were the recepients of his generosity over the years. He never had a bad word to say about anyone.

He is survived by his wife Linda; his three sons; Chris (North Branch), Wade (Almelund), Eric (North Branch); grandson Alex Bergerson (Osceola), grandaughter Emma Bergerson (Shafer); and his sister Audrey (Farstad), Las Vegas  and Edythe (Weidendorf), Cambridge; sister-in-law Nancy (Kubat) Barr, Vicki (Kubat) Schlief, brother-in-law Clark Kubat, and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Ernest Alexander Bergerson and Elverna (Mathilda) Erickson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 12, at the Chisago Lakes High School caferteria (due to attendance), in Lindstrom from 1-6 p.m.
