She was born February 25, 1920 in the gatehouse of the James J. Hill North Oaks farm. She graduated in 1938 from Forest Lake High School. On June 25th, 1942 Esther married Lloyd A Peterson at Faith Lutheran in Forest Lake. They were married 68 years.
She is preceded in death by husband Lloyd, daughter Gloria and son L. Allen.
Survived by daughter Dianne (Jon) Lillehaugen and son-in-law Richard O’Neill. Five grandchildren: Shannon (Tom) Johnson, Heather (Edric) Funk, Erin (Tom) Linnell, Jon Lillehaugen and Sara (Trey) Rice; seven great grandchildren; Mehgan (Dustin), Tommy, Katie, Courtney, Connor, Ashley and Andrew, two great great grandchildren Adeline and Avery.
Memorial service at Lyngblomsten Care Center Chapel Friday, November 17 at 10 a.m., Interment for Esther and Lloyd will be at 1:30p.m. at Fort Snelling.
