After a six-month courageous battle with cancer, Marc passed away peacefully at the U of M Hospital surrounded by family.

Marc was born August 21, 1968 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The family moved to the Chisago Lakes Area in 1979 when Marc was 11-years-old and has remained in the community since that time.

Marc owned Rocky J's bar on Highway 8 in Chisago from 1991 until 2007. He went on to establish the EdgeTown Tavern in Milltown, WI in 2009.  Marc loved life. He was very outgoing, energetic and fun-loving.  Despite his outward appearance, those who got to know Marc would find him loyal, kind and generous.   He was blessed by having so many dear friend.  Even in death Marc continues to give to others by organ donation through the U of M.

Marc is preceded in death by his dear father, Gary Porath and grandmother Betty Pascoe. He is survived by his mother, Connie, wife, Paula and children Jennifer and Kevin; brothers Ward and Gary, grandchildren Emmitt and Reece, grandfather John Pascoe, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew, as well as countless friends.

A celebration of life will take place at the Dalles House in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 1-4 PM.  Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota.
