September 27 a suicide reported at a Shafer address, and Lakes Area Police assist deputy at the scene and with notification. Lakes Area gets two other threatened suicide calls over week, with one transported for professional care.
September 28 Lakes Area is called to an address on East Viking Blvd. about 5:50 p.m. in rural Chisago City. There’s a complaint of a woman being held against her will, suspect flees the location. Woman is not hurt.
A State Patrol helicopter search initiated but the suspect was not apprehended on this date.
September 29 a multi-structure fire destroyed a garage, corn crib, and barn when the corn crib was ignited. The incident was reported about 3:30 p.m., off Stacy Trail, near the North Meadows neighborhood. The early determination is that a hot lawnmower touched off the fire when it was put away.
A suspected natural gas leak reported at home on Jennifer Court about noon. The concern was for a newly-installed appliance, the gas company responded along with Lakes Area Police.
October 1 overnight burglary reported at an address on Lehigh in Lindstrom.
