Born in International Falls to Helmer and Nora Jornlin, she moved to the Twin Cities shortly after high school and worked as an executive secretary. She eventually returned to college and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus with a degree in social work. Subsequently she worked as a social worker in both New York City and Lincoln, Nebraska before returning to the midwest, where she met and married Harland Ramberg of Harris, MN. After marriage she focused on raising a family and remained active in the St Paul School District before Harland’s retirement in 1986. Harland went to be with the Lord in 2009 after 47 wonderful years.
Arlene is survived in death by two daughters, one son and families: Jane (Michael) Hill, Steve (Janice) Ramberg and Andrea (Michael) Reshetar. 10 grandchildren (Brenda (Andy) Wick, James, Katherine, Daniel, Dale, Erik, Alex, Joe, Sophie and Abby) and two great grandchildren (Ian and Owen).
Visitation for Arlene will be held on Friday, October 13 from 5-8 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael.
Funeral service for Arlene will be Saturday, October 14 at 11a.m. with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service at NorthRidge Fellowship, 12522 Main Street, Rogers, MN. Luncheon to follow at church. Serving the family
