Frank was born on November 22, 1930 in St. Paul to parents Frank and Vivadell (Peterson) Boucher. He attended St. Paul Schools and graduated from Monroe High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as Radar Operator from January 1950 until his honorable discharge in April 1953. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota and later attended St. Cloud Teacher’s Graduate School. Frank taught science and math at Hoffman and later Fairfax, before he moved to Wisconsin and taught at Antigo for a short time. He returned to St. Paul where he finished his teaching career at Highland Park Jr. High School retiring in June of 1987. Frank loved building model planes, playing the piano and listening to classical music as well as fishing, gardening, traveling and time outdoors. He married Betty Moore on January 22, 1982.
Frank is survived by his wife Betty; children, Lori (Peter) Lowery of Cottage Grove, Mary Jenson of Lindstrom, Lisa (Greg) Thoennes of Andover and David Boucher of Apple Valley; his stepchildren; Cheri (Paul) Libby of So. St. Paul, Tony (Traci) King of Cottage Grove and Mike King of West St. Paul; his brother Jack (Nancy) Boucher of Taylors Falls and sisters, Janet Dibble of Taylors Falls and Joan Johnson of St. Croix Falls. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother Jim, grandson Ben Lowery and granddaughter Rose Jenson.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls with Rev. Mary Kaye Ashley officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at church. Interment followed the service at Kahbakong Cemetery with military honors.
