Helen Goodroad, 92, of Lindstrom, died on October 8, 2017, of natural causes. Helen was born on September 18, 1925, in St. Paul to Victor and Alice (Caspersen) Nissen. She married Melvin F. Kennedy and they had three children; Patrick, Mike, and Beverly (Stream).  After Melvin passed, Helen married James E. Goodroad. His children are Tim, Tom, Bonita, Cindy (deceased), and Suzie (deceased). Helen was an avid crafter and member of the Garden Club. She enjoyed spending her weekends at the cabin up north. Helen worked for the Snail Lake School District, the Chisago Bakery, and most recently, West Publishing Company. Helen enjoyed her family and loved being a grandmother.

Helen is survived by husband James, their children, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lindstrom Community Center, 13290 Newland Avenue, Lindstrom, MN on Sun., Oct. 22, from 1-5 p.m.
