September 24 Lakes Area called on report of an assault at Smitty’s in Chisago City. Alleged victim interviewed at his home, the investigation continues. A 27-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of second degree assault, booked and released.

A power outage was caused about 1 a.m. in the vicinity of 30725 Falcon Avenue (near Stacy) when a single vehicle crash was the result of a suspected drunk driver striking a power pole.  Driver went to Fairview in Wyoming for treatment.

A homeowner on Locust Lane in Taylors Falls reported a theft.

September 23 North Branch called to fight in Credit Union parking lot about 1 p.m.

There was a boat-versus-car incident on County Road 16 north of Taylors Falls at 3:50 p.m. when a person hauling a boat, apparently passed the turn into Lions Park and started to backup;  striking a vehicle coming northbound on the county road unable to stop.  The car hit the boat propeller. A Sheriff deputy spotted the pickup, a white Ford, parked at the boat landing but the owner was not visible.  Insurance information and registration were accessed and the victim was advised to notify the sheriff’s department if there were problems with cooperation.

September 22 Theft of a nail gun and circular saw from an address on 347th Street, from residence.

September 21 complaint of a small plane that repeatedly performs “touch and go” on Lake Martha and flies very low in the Chisago City commercial district and residential neighborhood.  A plane description was referred to the FAA.

A resident near Stacy reported she wrote a check out of Wyoming State Bank, to pay a CenturyLink bill and somewhere along the way in the mail or before or after-- the check was altered and used to buy over $800 in merchandise from the Oakdale Wal-Mart store.

September 20 a counterfeit $50 bill recovered in Lindstrom.

State patrol, deputies assisted at a rollover car fire near ramp  about 10:30 a.m. on I-35 close to Rush City.

North Branch Police had two suicidal persons calls over the week.  The North Branch Police were also alerted to a suspected burglary at Oak Inn.  Another burglary reported at an address on Oakwood Knoll Ave.
