Power outages
The west and south parts of Chisago County were hit with scattered power losses attributed to the weather Monday night this week.  As of Tuesday morning there were over 18,000 customers without power, according to Xcel. In Chisago County power was still being restored to about 91 customers-- mainly in the Wyoming city region.

Lakes Area Police were dispatched to several domestic incidents in the Chisago City-Lindstrom area over the week, a couple arrests were made due to warrants on parties involved.

August 25 sheriff’s personnel took theft report. A riding lawnmower 18hp Husqvarna was taken from a yard at Falcon Avenue.

August 23 the self storage in Stacy had a break-in by cutting lock off of a unit. Tools and a dog clipper taken.
A possible mail theft out of a mailbox on Manning Trail reported Aug. 23.

Illegal materials were being burned in a fire pit that was also not being attended to and property owner was given a ticket. The fire was on Broadway,  in Lindstrom, and officer was dispatched about 7:45 p.m.

August 22 a counterfeit $100 bill was accepted at a garage sale in Chisago City.  Authorities are following-up.

Orange and white kitten turned into Lakes Area Police as a stray. Brought to Northwood Humane Society. Kitten was found on North Avenue.

August 21 a female fell from rock cliffs near the boat launch (River St.) at Interstate Park in Taylors Falls. She was in critical condition from head trauma.  Air ambulance took her to Regions,  after she was stablized at St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls. Her current condition is not known.
