December 9 a complaint about outdoor burning at an address on 288th Street in rural Lindstrom was looked into,  and a Lakes Area Police officer found animal carcasses in and around the fire pit.  Incident reported about 1:30 a.m.  The DNR is being brought into the case.

December 8 report of theft of bag of ice fishing rods from Chisago Lake. The owner was pulling a sled full of fishing gear and seven fishing rods, and the bag with the rods rolled off. Re-tracing her steps the owner observed two men taking the bag to their white Ford truck and they drove off. If you want to return the rods no questions asked-- leave them with the sheriff’s office front lobby window staff.  The sheriff’s office is co-located with the new jail now, on Per Road east side of Center City.

December 7 A theft from an address of Oldfield Drive in Franconia, car parts missing.

Deputies were dispatched to assist at a vehicle versus train accident in Pine County, approximately 11:30 a.m.

Two e-cigarette violations cited at Chisago Lakes Middle School.

December 6 a residential burglary reported on Beech Avenue. No details on losses.

A FedX driver reported seeing a package being stolen from an address in Chisago City. Another delivery box theft from a Foley Avenue address, Stacy, also reported this week.

December 4 a cat reported lost in Lamar Avenue area in Chisago City, grey and black male, front paws have been de-clawed.
