Cambridge-Isanti 74, Chisago Lakes 6
A tough Class Cambridge-Isanti Bluejacket squad crushed the Wildcats 74-6 at Chisago Lakes High School last Thursday, December 6.  The Wildcat trailed 74-0 before Connor Bleymeyer spoiled the shutout with a first-period pin.  The Class AA Wildcats forfeited at six weights in the match against one of the top 20 Class AAA programs in the state.
 
Paul Bunyan Wrestling Tournament
The Wildcats participated in the Paul Bunyan Wrestling Tournament last Friday and Saturday in Brainerd.  They finished last out of 13 teams.  Andrew Novack (113) placed second for the highest individual finish among Wildcat wrestlers.  The only other Wildcats to make it to the podium were Josh Wenthe (160), who came in seventh, and Connor Bleymeyer (285), who came in sixth.  Bleymeyer had to forfeit his last two matches in the tournament due to a medical issue.

Wrestling Notes
The Wildcats will head up County Road 14 for a quadrangular at North Branch High School tonight at 6 p.m.  Tomorrow, the Wildcats will host the 16-team Chisago Lakes Invitational at Chisago Lakes High School starting at 4 p.m.
