If you feel a tad bit shorted because the paper is pretty thin, I apologize. With Christmas falling on Tuesday and having Monday and Tuesday off, we had to put this paper together on Friday. No big deal right? Well, we just put a paper out on Wednesday of the same week, so we really had to scramble to fill a paper in two days.
I wanted to take a minute to thank those men and women we took time out of their busy Christmas holidays to make a community Christmas meal that was second to none to share with those who were alone on Christmas day I stopped by there early on Christmas day and it was a well oiled machine with people everywhere and they were all working their tails off to make sure this meal was awesome, as it always is. I’m not sure of the total number of diners but it was alot. There were turkeys, fixins and deserts as far as the eye could see. Thanks again to Craig and the entire crew for all of your hard work. What an awesome community we live in!
I got a new pair of ice skates for Christmas so my son and I walked down to the lake to try them out. We brought our sticks to play a little pond hockey. The ice is amazing for skating right now (yes we have the storm of the century coming apparently) and we enjoyed a few hours on the lake. The ice in most places looked to be about seven inches thick. Plenty safe for skating. There was a truck driving on the ice across from us. He was certainly making the ice crack and howl as he drove. He then proceeded to park right next to his permanent ice house. Needless to say we stayed far away from him. There is no way I will risk my life driving a vehicle on the ice right now. No fish is worth that much.
