Phyllis E Berg, age 96 of Chisago City and formerly of Taylors Falls, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Parmly on the Lake.

Phyllis was born to Charles and Anna (Anderson) Swanson in Osceola, Wisconsin on September 21, 1922.  She married Roland Berg on September 5, 1941, and they celebrated 73 years of marriage together.  Phyllis worked at the Taylors Falls Post Office for many years and was an active and longtime member at First Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roland in 2014; son in law Richard Gustafson; four brothers, Orville, Kenneth, Raymond and LeRoy and four sisters in law.  She is survived by her children; Carol Gustafson of Hudson, WI, Virginia (David) Johnson of Lindstrom, and Richard (Ethel) Berg of Bloomington; her 11 grandchildren, Craig (Karen) Gustafson, Christopher Gustafson, Carrie (Dale) Stiles, Stacy Johnson, Melissa (Michael Bradley) Johnson, Heidi (John) McAllister, Adam (Kristin) Johnson, Seneca Berg, Erin (Zacharia) Clements, Kaitlan Berg and Jordan (Kayla) Berg and her 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, with Rev. Mary Kaye Ashley officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church, on Saturday.  Interment will follow the service at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls.
