January 28 Lakes Area Police responded to a call that a snowmobile was on fire on South Lindstrom Lake near the channel and assisted a deputy already on-scene.  Lindstrom Fire also sent a crew.  Incident reported about 4:45 p.m.

A male suspect, 43, Chisago City, wanted in connection with a vandalism incident caught on videotape-- was arrested when Lakes Area officers came to question him and allegedly also found paraphernalia at the home.

North Branch took a report of a residential burglary at a Harder Ave. address.

A theft from the liquidators business in North Branch reported. No details.  

The mini storage on Forest Blvd. also reported a theft to North Branch P.D.

January 26 a pair of prescription sunglasses were turned into Lakes Area Police, finder said they were in Chisago City Paradise Park. Call and describe to claim glasses.

Lakes Area handled one suicidal person transport over the last week.

There have been multiple complaints about snowmobilers trespassing and using private yards to get onto and off of area lakes.  Use the closest public lake landing point when you are planning to access a lake.  

Tickets are also being written for vehicles violating overnight parking restrictions on city streets.
