February 3 a county plow and a passenger car crashed into each other in Taylors Falls, at First St. and Colby, when the car lost traction and slowly slid down the hill into the truck, heading the opposite direction.  The crash was reported about 2:40 p.m.

The preliminary details are that drivers were both uninjured. The plow truck operator had seen the car sliding and tried to lessen the severity of the impact and lifted a segment of his plow blade, but the deputy concluded colliding was unavoidable.

Deputies were involved in locating a truck reported stolen out of Polk County Wisconsin.  The truck was in a ditch off Redwing Avenue.  The vehicle was abandoned quickly-- the keys were in it and windows were rolled down.  
A stolen vehicle reported at River Street in Taylors Falls. Keys were left in an unlocked vehicle.

February 1 a vehicle and pedestrian accident is being investigated by state patrol. There were no serious injuries when the walker was hit at First and Park Street in Lindstrom, at Hwy. 8.

A teacher was assaulted at the secondary education facility at the Chisago City Fairview Clinic campus, used by Chisago Lakes School District.  The student was arrested and transported to the juvenile detention center at Lino Lakes. The Pathways to Change teacher had “visible injuries”according to the officer,  and was taken to an unidentified hospital.  The incident was reported about 1:55 p.m.

January 30 a number of fish houses on West Rush Lake were targets of thieves.  Number of items and details were pending, reporting deputy noted doors had been forced open on most houses.  
 
January 29 theft of almost 500 pounds of copper wire reported from scrap site on east side of the county.

Lakes Area Police were notified of a suspected watermain leaking in Lindstrom, at Olinda Trail just north of Hwy. 8.  The second watermain leak was called in the same day near Wallmark Drive, Chisago City.  Public works and subcontractors were summoned.
