Dale Olson
Dale was born on April 10, 1942 in Forest Lake to parents, Arvid and Margaret (Hicks) Olson. The family moved to North Branch where Dale attended school and graduated in 1960. Dale excelled in playing golf, baseball and track while in high school. He married Janet Peterson on October 1, 1960 at the Methodist Church in North Branch and he and Janet were blessed with 57 years of marriage together. They moved to the Twin Cities area where he took a job with Taystee Bread and in 1966 he started working for Pepsi Cola as route salesman and continued working there until his retirement in 2002. Dale was known as a people person and loved to talk with people and enjoyed their conversations. He loved traveling worldwide, as well as his time living on South Lindstrom Lake and time on his pontoon listening to music. He loved deer hunting, fishing and time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife Janet; sons Bart (Gloria) Olson of Lindstrom and Brent (special friend Anne) Olson of Minneapolis; his five grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as his two sisters Lorna (special friend Jerry) Olson of St. Paul and Karen (Don) Swanson of North Branch as well as his daughter in law, Carrie Olson of Woodbury.
He is preceded in death by his parents Arvid and Margaret and son, Brian.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Pastor Brad Barr officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, on Monday. Family interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Branch.
