Saturday, January 13, Lakes Area Police went to a domestic incident, called in about 10:30 p.m. at an address on Newlander Avenue. There was a dispute ongoing between two parties and one was brought in for a 72 hour protective hold.

A passerby had stopped to assist a motorist, Jan. 13  who had put their car in a ditch along Olinda Trail near the High School in Lindstrom. The driver was suspected of having a heart attack and EMS and officers responded. Officers performed CPR until the ambulance transported the victim to Fairview Medical Center. The incident was reported about 5:30 p.m.

Jan. 13 a snowmobile caught fire at an address on Terryll Street in Lindstrom. Lindstrom firefighters put the fire out.  Incident reported at 4:15 p.m.

A brush burn was reported for information-only to Lakes Area Police offices. The burn pile was at an address on 275th.

January 12 a gas meter was thought to be leaking,  servicing a residential unit on Lake Lane. Incident handled by Lindstrom Fire Dept. and utility company.

A three vehicle crash is reported at Johnson Lane and Hwy. 8 Chisago City, January 12 about 3:30 p.m.  The state patrol says its preliminary investigation resulted in one driver being cited for failing to drive with due caution-- Jacob Ray Richards, 18, of Forest Lake.  He was eastbound on the highway and was adjusting his travel to turn left (north) onto Johnson. He reportedly slid over the centerline and hit a car driven by Jacob Adam Anderson, 40, of Luck, WI, heading west.  

The two vehicles collided with a third vehicle, stationary at the left turn lane awaiting a green light.  The third driver was identified as Dennis Ramsden, 46, Chisago City.  All wore seatbelts and nobody was hurt seriously.  Wyoming and Lakes Area officers helped direct traffic.

 January 8 a sprinkler system leak about 4 p.m. was causing alarm issues at Vindauga View Assisted Living Apartments, Chisago City. Building maintenance addressed the fire suppression system malfunction. An alarm registered, but Chisago City firefighters were cancelled en route.

Rush City experienced a cluster of miscellaneous thefts from vehicles parked on streets around Estate Drive and Rush Creek Lane areas.
