January 21 Lakes Area Police were informed of an alleged sexual assault at an address in Lindstrom Friday, Jan. 19.  Victim was reporting from the emergency room at Fairview two days later. An investigation is underway.

January 20 an arrest of a 21-year-old male at a Lindstrom address shortly after midnight, charges being pursued for arson (car fire) and domestic assault.

January 19 a forced entry reported at a seasonal dwelling in Nessel Township.  One of the property owners noticed glass broken and a board on the door pried off.

January 18 deputy assisted at a property damage incident at Marathon gas station,  in Shafer. Door glass had been shattered and there are believed to be suspects recorded on video, using firewood to try to break in.  Damage discovered about 6 a.m.
January 16 Lakes Area Police recovered a suspected counterfeit bill, found at MidWest One Bank in Chisago City and from McDonald’s deposit monies.  Secret Service is investigating.

Sheriff deputy aided at the scene of a North Branch resident taken into custody,  for a protective 72 hour hold, in North Branch, about 6 p.m.

January 15 fish house theft reported on West Rush Lake near Wilson Island. Propane tank taken from one site and a second house was missing a small “uncle Josh” heater.

Multiple warnings and citations given out,  for overnight winter parking violations over the week. There are hours restricting on-street parking in area cities.
