Chirstopher Nichols

Christopher John Nichols, age 36, of Lindstrom, MN, passed away May 31, 2018 surrounded by loving family after a long battle with brain cancer.  A friend to many, Chris was a warm and welcoming presence with an engaging smile, a quick wit and a hearty laugh.  He was helpful and compassionate, and always had a positive attitude.  Chris cherished his role as Dad and made his kids his priority.  His kids consider him funny, smart, brave, caring, responsible, thoughtful and kind.  Not one to give up, he worked hard at whatever he did and continued to find ways to contribute to others even through his cancer.  He enjoyed woodworking, fixing things, cars, movies, fishing, camping, and the North Shore.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his three children, Xaviar, Vanessa and Alexis, parents John Bruno and Catherine Veith-Bruno of Lindstrom, MN; John and Susan Nichols of Oakdale, MN; siblings John Bruno Jr. of St. Paul; Donald Warner of Lindstrom; Jennifer Warner of Little Falls; Clay (Jacque) Warner of Lent; John (Danica) Nichols of St. Croix Falls, WI; Corrine Nichols of Plainview; and Wendy (Thomas) Berglund of Princeton, and Godparents Virginia (James) Plote and George (Jacqlynn) Veith III and many additional aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.   Preceded in death by grandparents George and Arlene Veith, Richard and Clara Johnson, and John C Nichols. Visitation was held 5 – 8 p.m. Monday at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, and one hour prior to the Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial 11a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
