Mrs.  Carlson's Environmental Art Class painted a 13 feet tall, 24 feet wide mural this spring in the Chisago Lakes High School Cafeteria. The class consisted of 12 seniors and three juniors.  They had only nine weeks to design, plan, and paint.  The theme is “Old School Postcard.”  Students tried to include all that is in the Chisago Lakes School District.  In the word “Chisago” there are symbols from the surrounding communities and the famous coffee pot pours water to create the St. Croix River. “This has been the most cohesive group to paint a mural. Everyone got along so well, and as a group, they focused on making the mural great.  It was always their primary goal I am proud of this group and excited for everyone to see it when they enjoy lunch or stroll through the building.”
