Early morning fire call
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Department reports a single family house fire on Reflection Avenue,  in the Shafer Buffalo Ridge neighborhood,  was contained through the speedy response of local firefighters. The house is cordoned-off with crime scene tape, but looks intact from the street.  Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday June 12.  Cause is under investigation.  The Sheriff’s spokesperson said pets and inhabitants were unhurt.  Fire departments on-scene included Shafer-Franconia, Center City and Lindstrom.

Drowning on St. Croix River June 9
The Chisago County Sheriff’s department was not involved in the drowning case on the Wisconsin side of the St. Croix River, reported Saturday, June 9.   St. Croix Falls authorities responded to the call to 9-1-1 that someone had called for help from the riverbank at Lions Park, St. Croix Falls, about 7 a.m.

The body of a 20-year-old male St. Croix Falls resident was recovered about three hours later, in approximately eight feet of water, it was reported.

Also June 9 about 6 p.m.  local firefighters responded to a house fire report on Lyons Street at 316th, in Anoka County, but Stacy Fire did go out.  Fire appeared to have started from stray fireworks.  Anoka Sheriff’s Dept. will investigate.

Deputy responded June 7 to complaint about rooster noise on 307th Street.  Owner advised he was already looking to get rid of the animal, and he was granted one week.

June 6 a purse was reported stolen out of a truck parked on mainstreet Taylors Falls. Window was open.  Loss included iphone, credit cards. etc.  
Ice fish shack found in ditch in Lindstrom. Describe to office personnel to claim.

Dog bite reported about 7:30 p.m. at address on Glader Blvd., outside of Lindstrom city.

 A John Deere tractor was damaged June 5, when a semi trailer truck, headed south,  collided with the tractor on Pleasant Valley Road, about 11 a.m.  Tractor driver was turning into a field approach and the truck attempted to pass and they hit each other. No injury resulted but there was visible damage to both the tractor and the semi.

A violation of chicken keeping ordinance reported on 288th St., Lindstrom. Directed to apply for permit and comply.
