It is with great sadness that the family of Scott Hamann of Imperial Beach, CA, announces his sudden passing on Saturday June 2, 2018, at the age of 59.

Scott was born in St. Paul, MN and later moved to Lindstrom, MN with his family. He attended Chisago Lakes High School and graduated in 1977.  Scott enlisted in the Navy right after he graduated. Scott was stationed with the Pacific Fleet out of San Diego and served on many aircraft carriers. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service and got a job as a security officer at a state prison in San Diego.

Scott married Angelita Capuno while stationed in the Phillipines. They had a daughter Kimberly. The family moved back to the states and lived in Imperial Beach, CA. While Scott was out on maneuvers in 1993, Kimberly was killed in an accident. Something he never got over.

Scott was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly, grandparents and mother-in-law.

Scott is survived by his wife Angie; parents Wayne and Karen Hamann of Osceola WI; brothers Clay Hamann (Jennifer) of Spring TX, James Hamann (daughter Corteney) of Lindstrom; sisters Kelly Hamann of Magnolia TX, Robyn Wampler (husband Rick; daughters Sarah and Elizabeth) of Fayetteville GA and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services were held at St. James Lutheran Church in Imperial Beach CA Thursday, June 14, 2018 with a military service at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, in San Diego.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial to Scott be made to your favorite charity.
