James (Jim) enjoyed hunting and fishing, earning him the nickname of “Grandpa Walleye.” He lived on Little Green Lake for many years and could be found in a boat or fish house on the lake. He loved to play golf and spent winters living on a golf course in Palm Desert. His buddies there refer to the place where he sunk more than a few golf balls as “Lalla Lake.”
Jim was a Military Veteran and member of U.S. Navy Beachmasters Unit 2. He proudly served his country during the Korean War and attended reunions whenever possible. Jim attended St. Bridget’s of Sweden Church in Lindstrom and volunteered to help others in many capacities throughout his life. He especially cared for Veterans and the elderly. Jim’s greatest joys were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended as many of their sports and school events as possible and taught them how to fish. He was a loving and faithful father and follower of God.
