Lawrence Albin Carlson was born on April 14, 1922 to parents Albin and Mabel Carlson.  He passed away peacefully on May 1, 2018 on the family farm with his wife of 52 years by his side.  He was baptized on June 11, 1922 and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church on May 16, 1937.

He married Charlotte D. Johnson on June 25, 1965.  Lawrence was a lifelong dairy farmer who took great joy and pride in his family.  He also enjoyed dancing, roller skating and playing cards.  He was the neighbor to all.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Betty Anderson and Irene Holcomb and great grandson Leif Johnson.

Lawrence is survived by his wife and partner in life Charlotte (nee Lindgren); children Sharon (Dale) Anderson, Lisa (William) Achenbach, Edward Johnson, and Ronald (Sue) Johnson; sisters Vernette Vandesteeg, Delores Hall and Janice (Wayne) Nickelson; brothers Earl (Sally) Carlson and David Carlson; brother-in-law Norman Anderson; 10 grand-children and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service was Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Elim Lutheran Church in Scandia, Minnesota.  Visitation was held Tuesday at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota and one hour prior to the service at church.
