Sharon Redland, age 79, of Lakeland passed away of heart failure.

Sharon grew up on a farm near Almelund, MN. She graduated from Taylors Falls High School in 1957 and worked for a few years at Mutual Service Insurance and later Univac. In 1962 she married her high school sweetheart, Wayne, and they moved to Lawton, OK where he served in the Army. On return to MN, Sharon stayed home in Lakeland to raise their two children, Julie and Chris, for many years until joining the IT group at 3M where she made many friends.

We will always treasure her gentle soul, her unending care for family and friends, and the way she left everything she touched a little more beautiful. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mabel; and brother, Roger Bjork. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Wayne; children, Julie (Doug) Kmoch, and Chris (Wendy); grandchildren, Taylor, Tristan, Iris, Tate, and Amik; sister, Gloria Bourasa, and many other loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A Memorial Service was held Monday, November 5,  at Memorial Lutheran Church, 15730 S. Afton Blvd, Afton MN, with visitation at the church. Interment at the Memorial Lutheran columbarium. Memorials preferred to Memorial Lutheran Church.
