There was a report to Lakes Area Police of possible mailbox tampering in a neighborhood in Chisago City November 16. A gold-colored passenger car was spotted pulling up alongside boxes on the street in the Matthew Drive area.
A house burglary under investigation at an address on Sherman Oaks Road in Stacy.
November 14 a truck was reported stolen from an address on Emily Court, Stacy. It is a 2002 GMC.
Forced entry burglary under investigation at property on 337th in Lent Township.
November 15 medical first responders and Lakes Area Police went to Peterson Companies on Wyoming Trail about 10 a.m. A contract employee had reportedly fallen from a ladder and had an ankle injury.
November 14 a complaint came in about 4 p.m. of apparent shooting in the Karmel-Liberty Lane area near the industrial park in Chisago City. Authorities investigated and located waterfowl hunters who were not found to be breaking any laws in their shooting activity-- because they were 500 feet from an occupied structure and more than 300 feet from a public roadway. The officer learned the private property owner had also granted permission to the people using firearms.
November 13 a sheriff’s deputy was on patrol and watched as a suspect exited an unoccupied house on Forest Blvd. in Harris with items in his arms, allegedly in the act of theft. The 51 year old male was arrested about 9:30 a.m.
