September 30 the state patrol went to the scene of a crash at East Viking and Hwy. 8, about 9:30 p.m.  One driver was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. State Patrol was unable to provide preliminary information when contacted Tuesday this week.

Dog bite incidents
Dog bite reports are becoming more frequent in the weekly law enforcement logs...there were two last week-- one to the sheriff’s department, at an address on Quinlan, south of Center City where a home has five known dogs. Authorities advised the owners to get a kennel for when the dogs need to be outside and they are keeping in contact with the victim. He said only his pants were ripped September 27.  

The other report was in Center City, on Nelson Lane, when a delivery person was forced to crawl on top of the hood of a vehicle to avoid dogs there.  The postal employee said the dog bite incident happened about 3 p.m. September 26, as she carried packages up a driveway.

September 29, 2018 Shafer Laundromat reported vandalism as someone tried to open the pop machine.

A stolen vehicle out of Pine County was found when a patrol deputy did a routine check on a vehicle license plate at an address on 439th in rural Harris. The vehicle came back as stolen.  The case is still under investigation.

September 28  the county deputies recovered a stolen car at Harris 61-Stop.  The vehicle was located parked about 11 p.m.

September 27 there was a two vehicle crash on Forest Boulevard in the 31000 block but no injuries resulted. Both cars were towed when one rear-ended the other a little after noon.

Possible gas leak at address on Second Ave. in Lindstrom, called in about 2:15 p.m. Firefighters and Xcel dispatched and no carbon monoxide found with detector, no damages reported.

Two vehicles reported broken into on 314th St. overnight in Lindstrom.
 
 September 25 theft from an outbuilding on 375th south of North Branch. Budweiser collectibles, air compressor,  and tools are missing. It was a forced entry.

Juveniles arrested for drug paraphernalia at Chisago Lakes High School, reported about 1:30 p.m.  Two other students cited for e cigarette possession same day.

Theft of a trailer carrying folding tables and chairs reported from an address  in Chisago Lake Township North.

September 24 theft of a utility trailer south of Lindstrom. No details.

A party making a U turn at Cederacrest and 425th about 9:30 a.m. collided with a second car reportedly “speeding” (according to a witness) and the result was the two vehicles were towed. No serious injury reported.
