Born September 18, 1932 in Minneapolis Jason lived in Crystal, MN until 1983 when he moved to rural North Branch until his death.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jason and Inez Bennett. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis Bennett, sons Vince (Alice) Bennett, Lance (Debbie) Bennett, and Curt (Cathy) Bennett; daughters Barb (Ray) Renner, Karen (Joel) Feigum, and Ann (Dirk) Doble; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother Cordell (Jan) Bennett and sister Darlene (Jim Hancock), and several nieces and nephews.
He was known to many as “Santa” and loved spending time with family, playing with the kids, helping others and making people laugh. He served in the 82nd Army Airborne, was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree Knight and worked at Western Electric until he retired. He was dedicated to his church, loved building houses, creating in his workshop and riding his tractor(s).
Visitation at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, September 21, from 10-11 a.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 38725 Forest Blvd., North Branch, MN
