August 25 a motorcycle crash was reported at 27877 Olinda Trail. Lakes Area repsonded. No report was available. The incident was called in about noon.
August 24 minor injuries reported at a two car crash site at Morgan and Chisago Boulevard, at 9 p.m. Report was not available. One driver was brought to jail for a DUI test and was not cited for drunk driving; but the incident is being reviewed for careless driving.
Multiple calls to downtown Shafer on reports of someone living in a camper/RV, a suspicious fire being set and general vandalism concerns.
August 23
A crash of a lone car off 360th, near Hwy. 95 in Sunrise Township, about 7:30 a.m. The driver was unhurt. She told the deputy she went off the roadway when her attention was diverted, hit a mailbox, address sign, fence and came to rest in a ditch. She is working with property owner on repairs.
August 22 a special needs client became assaultive to a caregiver on Locust Lane. Incident reported about 8 p.m. Suspect was calmed and scene secured.
August 21 a semi rolled out of where it was parked at Kwik Trip and damaged a Stacy City fire hydrant. Incident happened about 8:30 a.m.
A dog bite was reported to Lakes Area Police August 21 but occurred the day before. Incident was at a home on Marigold Lane and the injury was to a shoulder of young boy, in the dog’s yard. Police are looking into this.
