Numerous calls about welfare of area residents, probably due to the extra cold weather. Also, multiple calls of threatened suicides, some were agreeable to observation or medical care, many were resolved without outside assistance.

There are still tickets being written for overnight parking on streets and a cellphone use incident was also cited.  Many speeders cited during the Towards Zero Deaths law enforcement saturation.

December 15 sheriff deputies recovered a stolen snowmobile at an address on St. Croix Trail about 8 p.m. VIN number had been removed. It is a Polaris.

December 14 a reported road rage incident on the freeway caused one vehicle to go off and crash northbound about 5:20 p.m. A deputy patrol assisted in locating the suspect believed to have initiated the incident. The suspect car was pulled over by North Branch and the incident happened closer to Wyoming.

December 13 a semi truck burned and debris (wheel rim, etc) left on Hwy. 95 from the incident was causing issues the next day. There was no official report for when the fire occured.

December 12 a two vehicle crash reported at Lent Trail and County Road 14, about 5:40 a.m.  One was transported to Fairview and the other driver was okay to go home.  North Branch Police and Stacy-Lent Fire were also at the scene with deputies.  Appears one car was eastbound on Lent Trail and turned out onto southbound #14 and a car on the county road collided with it.

December 10 the site manager for the I-35 Goose Creek Rest Area near Harris told authorities he arrived in the morning and found it was vandalized. Apprx. 10 Dyson hand dryers were taken out of the restrooms.  Video surveillance is being reviewed.

A structure fire reported on River Road in the north part of the county at 4 a.m.  The agencies cleared in about an hour.

There was a watermain break on Stinson in Chisago City, reported about 7 p.m.

The sheriff trail patrol working snowmobile routes ticketed two parties for trespassing at the marked- no trespassing area at 355th and Sunrise Prairie Trail.  One sled driver also warned about studs on the county’s paved trail.

December 9 a report of a dog on dog attack at an address on Peninsula Trail, Lindstrom.  Lakes Aea Police are handling.

A Chisago Lakes District school bus went into the ditch about 7:45 a.m. at Jocelyn and 284th. Students were quickly ushered onto a replacement bus and a tow was sent.

Report of theft from an unlocked car on Briar Lane, Taylors Falls. Debit and credit cards missing.
