The county public safety center and comm center site, in Center City, was put onto generator-provided power during the high demand for heating capacity  last week.  The facility is constructed under a plan that the site can go -off-line as part of a special rates program. County Administrator Bruce Messelt said the generator fuel presented some issues in the sub-zero conditions, but it all worked out eventually.

Water lines in the Chisago Lakes area seemed to be affected during the sub-zero temps last week...there were calls from addresses on Stinson Avenue in Chisago City, Newlander and on Marine Court, Lindstrom and an apartment complex on North Ave. in Chisago City reporting freeze-ups.  The radiator system was not functioning at the North Avenue call.
