The North Branch Area Public Schools received $15,000 from the citizen-led North Branch Area Education Foundation last week. The funds are proceeds from various fundraising events held in the course of the year and direct private donations. (See the foundation website for information.)  Funds were divided among the Sunrise River Elementary School, the middle school, high school and the district education center to cover expenses for needed equipment like software, power tools, durable portable microphones and costs for special field trips, along with other purchases.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the level of support we receive from the foundation,” Superintendent Deb Henton stated. “It’s a wonderful example of local education advocates supporting local education.”
Kris Greene, who serves on the Foundation’s Board, added, “The (NBEAF) is so proud to offer these opportunities to school district staff.”
