The pair of divers finished second (Opdahl) and fourth (Nord) in the section meet, earning them both the return trips. Last year, Nord finished in 18th place and Opdahl came in 16th place, but they were both the youngest competitors there. Nord is just an eighth grader this year and Opdahl a freshman. They’ll be looking to make a bigger splash this year.
Senior Addison Clarin will be joining those two, as he qualified in two events, the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 backstroke.
Nord and Opdahl will be diving on Thursday, February 28 at noon and Clarin will swim Friday, March 1 at noon.
