New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, Lakes Area Police and Wyoming officers established a perimeter around an address on 268th at Viking Blvd. about 7:20 p.m. where a suspect was believed to be who had walked away from a nearby medical facility.  The man was brought in without incident.

January 1 cash registers at a business in Chisago City were broken into and an undisclosed amount of money taken. The building entry was forced.  Incident reported when discovered New Years Day about noon.

There’s a reported burglary at the new school construction site January 2.  No details immediately available.

 January 3 a vehicle struck the wall of the Animal House pet store in Chisago City about 2 p.m.  The driver said the floor mat stuck in between the brake pedal and the floor.  Nobody was injured but the building was damaged.

January 5 a theft from a vehicle parked at Gallant and 490th in the north end of the county reported.  Loss includes tool bag, wallet and I.D.

A high speed pursuit was reported northbound on I-35 beginning about 2:25 a.m.  A 20-year-old driver from Coon Rapids was booked for underage drinking and driving, fleeing, and reckless driving. Passengers were two females, 19 and 20, also charged with fleeing (on foot.)  A third passenger, 20, was cited for misdemeanor possessing drugs.
