The sheriff’s patrol was sent  to the scene of a one car rollover at Falcon Avenue and Stark Road January 8 a little after midnight. A woman driver was extricated by Harris firefighters and Lakes Region EMS provided medical care. She admitted in the preliminary report to being on the phone,  when she went off the road.

Also January 8 a wire spool was reported stolen from a solar array project in rural Lindstrom. Loss is $2,000.

A forced entry burglary is being investigated at an address on Forest Blvd. in Harris. Losses were not itemized.

January 12 Pine County called for assistance for a fleeing suspect, from Pine City. Chisago Deputies followed through and got information about the whereabouts and apprehended a male and female about 11 a.m. at an address on 550th Street.

An off-road  utility vehicle operator was observed by a deputy,  chasing down and killing a muskrat January 12 about 11 p.m. with his UTV, on West Rush Lake.  Driver was checked for signs of DUI and admitted to drinking beer but did not field test as “intoxicated.”  He was ticketed for unlawful UTV operation.

A car fire reported Jan. 12 at an address on Deerwood Trail. Lakes Region EMS was on scene giving medical care for a burn injury. Incident reported about 6 a.m.

 January 13 a car left the roadway and damaged a fiber optic box in Harris about 9 p.m.  The car was driven away;  but parts left behind are being used to put together a color, make and model. Harris MIDCO service/power was affected.

A warrant was being executed for a suspect at an address on 302nd Street, Stacy, and brief chase ensued. The offender was apprehended without incident.

Copper wiring and tarps were stolen from an out building in Nessel Township Jan. 13.
