Lois Marie Eichten Velaski, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 12, 2019. Lois was born December 1, 1940 in Wanda, Minnesota. In the fall of 1951, Lois and her family moved to a farm south of the Lindstrom area, where she grew up.  Lois was the oldest of 16 children born to Everett and Mary Eichten.

Lois graduated from Lindstrom-Center City High School in 1958. She moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator and most recently in accounts receivable at Goodyear in Bloomington. She married her husband, Eugene “Gene” Velaski, in 1967 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota and they established a residence in Bloomington, MN.  Lois and Gene had just recently moved to Lindstrom to be closer to family members.

Lois is survived by her husband, Gene Velaski, her sons Keith Velaski, David (Machelle) Velaski and six grandchildren; Carson (Samantha) Velaski , Luke Velaski, Doran Velaski, Logan Velaski, Jackson Velaski and step-grandchild, Damon Simonson.  She is also survived by 12 brothers/sisters and numerous nephews/nieces.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Bernice Velaski, parents Everett and Mary Eichten and siblings Peter, Daniel and Monica.

Funeral Service will be held 6 p.m., Monday January 21, 2019 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Lindstrom, MN.  Service will be followed by a social gathering in the social hall.
