Take a look at page seven to see all of the happenings. As long as I have been here, this appears to be the fullest schedule of events I have ever seen. If the weather cooperates this could go down as one of the best Karl Oskar Days ever. The people behind the scenes have worked their tails off this year to make this year’s celebration one of the best. I hope you take some time next week to come out and enjoy this awesome event.
Speaking of Lions Park, next Wednesday a very popluar band will play at Harmony in the Park. The Dweebs will take the stage at 6:30 pm with the formal introduction to this year’s ambassador candidates.
The super-popular Lindstrom Loppet has changed organizers this year. The event is now run by the Chisago Lakes Boys Soccer Team, the Chisago Lakes Girls Swim and Dive Team, and the Chisago Lakes Rotary Club. You can register the day of the race, but they encourage you to register online at runsignup.com/Race/MN/Lindstrom/LindstromLoppet 5K run/walk. Alot to type in, but if you go the Chisago Lakes Chamber website you can just click onto a link and register.
The folks that deliver the mail in our area have asked that you please, please be aware of your children’s location, especially when the mail truck comes. There have been a few instances where unbeknownst to the carrier a child would run between the mailbox and the road. They just want to make sure everyone is safe and the mail is also delivered safely.
