Ron was born June 20, 1953 in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Richfield. In high school he was active in wrestling, band, theatre and attained Eagle Scout. He attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in software engineering. Ron enjoyed a very successful career as a software quality assurance engineer, travelling globally while working at many companies including NCS; Central Engineering; Fortis; Pearson; Boston Scientific and Calix.
Through-out his life, Ron was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying deer hunting. In 2006, Ron moved from Richfield to a hobby farm in Franconia Township and in 2011 married Lucy. Although he married for the first time later in life, he thoroughly enjoyed having a family. Ron especially loved his grandchildren, niece and nephew. Ron served on the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church Parish Council and participated on community initiatives to improve broadband in the county. The family appreciates the support and friendship Ron received from the AA community.
Memorial Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minnesota. Interment at Chisago Lake Cemetery in Center City, MN.
