Norman Kroonblawd
Norman graduated from Chisago City High School in 1946 and was captain of the basketball team. He was a U.S. Marine Sergeant and married Estelle Mickelson on September 28, 1954, at the Little Brown Church in the Valley in Nashua, Iowa.
He spent his career as a road construction foreman for Shafer Construction and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, eating lutefisk, most sports, camping, loved socializing and exploring various cafes and played accordion in his younger years.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wesley Kroonblawd and Charles Kroonblawd; sister, Beverly (Duane) Erickson; and nephews and nieces.
He is survived by his children, Craig Kroonblawd, Brian (Barb) Kroonblawd, Dawn Kroonblawd, and Dale Kroonblawd.
Dad was known to many for his blue eyes and contagious smile that he will now be sharing with his new heavenly family since he gave his life to Jesus.
Memorial Service 1 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019, at First United Methodist Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom, Minnesota with full military honors. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
