June 21 a motorcycle crash about 6:20 p.m. on Hwy 8. at Unity Avenue sent the operator to the Fairview hospital in Wyoming. He told authorities a turkey vulture knocked him, causing him to go off the road.
June 20 there was a multi-department incident where a house on Glader Blvd. in a densely built neighborhood on the lake, just outside of Lindstrom The house was thought to be on fire but just smoke was coming out of the building, but no flames were visible. No cause reported yet.
A found dog, a black Lab, was brought to Northwoods Humane Society by Lakes Area Police. It was picked up in Chisago City, along Lofton Ave.
June 19 One airlifted from crash on Forest Blvd.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man seriously hurt in a crash with a semi tractor trailer just north of Stacy, June 19, as 38-year-old David Benjamin Joseph, of North Branch. The closest address to the scene was 31788 Forest Boulevard.
Authorities report Joseph was listed in critical condition after being airlifted to Regions Medical Center.
The crash was called in about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. The incident appeared to have been a head-on between Joseph’s pickup truck and the semi, being driven by Brent Lee Petersen, 47, Harris. He was unhurt. The cause is under investigation.
Stacy-Lent Fire Dept. responders provided extrication of the victim. Lakes Region EMS was there, investigation assistance is being provided by state patrol, and Life Link Air Care transported.
