You should have come to our grad party; Triathlon needs your help
The Chisago Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is still looking for more volunteers to assist at the 2019 Chisago Lakes Triathlon. It takes a small army to put the race on and without the community's help it's almost impossible. They are looking for volunteers for the run route, the bike route, swim safety, the transition at Paradise Park and the finish line.
Remember just because the race takes five hours to complete, doesn't mean your volunteer time is five hours. They have any and every time allotment to fit any of our availabilities.
I have been part of the race since its inception and it is one of, if not the biggest, of events in our county. If you would like to be part of this - and get a sweet t-shirt, please call the Chamber at 651-257-1177. Thank you in advance.
This week we cut off the few readers who have not paid their subscription for the upcoming year. It’s something I hate doing, but if you have been to the post office lately you surely know mailing a letter much less a newspaper, is not cheap.
If you did not get your paper and your subscription has lapsed, it’s no big deal to get you going again. Simply mail us a check for $48 to Chisago County Press, PO Box 748, Lindstrom, MN 55045 or log onto chisagocountypress.com and click on subscribe. Either way, once we get your payment, we can get you up and running that same day. Thank you for reading.
Pleasant Valley Orchards is now open for strawberry picking. The orchard is south on Pleasant Valley Road (south at Hazelden) and is just a short drive from anywhere. Judy and Jim would love for you to bring the family and enjoy some sunshine in their beautiful fields.
