March 10, Sunday, there was a suspect pursuit involving North Branch Police and sheriff’s patrol deputies initiated about 5:15 a.m.  The North Branch Police squad managed to block access to I-35 at the #17 interchange, in Lent Township.  The male driver’s history showed he was wanted on felony warrants. He reportedly fled on  foot when he couldn’t get on the freeway, but was apprehended soon after.

Another warrant suspect wanted by Washington County, fled the same day, from an address in Lindstrom. Lakes Area Police approached an address on Terryll Street and the male fled about 2 p.m. He was caught and booked.

March 9 a barn in Fish Lake Township experienced a roof collapse, reported about 4 p.m.  Firefighters from nearby departments were on-hand and East Central Electric crews assisted.

March 6
North Branch officers went to a location of a person reported “not breathing.” The victim was at an address on Guthrie Avenue.  Incident was reported about 9:37 p.m. The victim was administered NARCAN, given CPR and eventually became alert again. Meanwhile a landing zone established was cancelled, ground ambulance came to provide follow-up care.  Victim had been scheduled to report to county jail that night.

The Baptist Church north of downtown Stacy, on #30,  reported theft of items from a garage, no details or loss estimated.

Lakes Area Police created a file on a report of a scam of a local resident, on CraigsList, regarding $375 sent for a down payment on a timeshare in the Wisconsin Dells area.  Victim said she never heard anymore from the person she sent the money to.

March 4 a parked truck, rolled and hit the north side of Tesoro station in Lent Township. Damages were not obvious but are being reviewed.

A traffic stop for an equipment failure at Johnson Lane, Chisago City, turned into a driver with a cancelled license, who then proceeded to experience a seizure. Paramedics were summoned and handled the situation. Incident took place about 10 p.m.

The Lindstrom Fire Dept. was sent about 2:40 a.m. to a suspected gas leak at an address on Newell Avenue, and found the stove burner had been left in the open position.
