Today (March 28), Hazelden Betty Ford will be hosting the annual Women's Health Expo. Women of all ages are invited to learn about health and wellness including screenings, exhibits, cooking demonstrations, massages, nutrition and fitness seminars and much much more. Elizabeth Ries from Twin Cities Live will be speaking. It is just an all around complete event where women of all ages can come together and learn, bond and have some fun. The expo is held at the Cork Center, 15245 Pleasant Valley Road in Center City. There will be plenty of signage to direct you to the right spot.
There is still time to enjoy some great fish at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church fish fry. The meal is served every Friday during Lent and all are welcome and encouraged to come enjoy some of the best fish, french fries, coleslaw, dessert and a beverage. Look for a coupon in this edition of the Press.
If you are a local artist and could use some extra funds to help you, please consider applying for an ECRAC (East Central Regional Arts Council) grant. There are monies set aside from state funding for this very purpose. The money is dedicated by vote for the arts, your art is important to you, so what do you have to lose? There is a bit of a hurry though..you need to submit your application by April 1. It is easy, just go to ecrac.org and click on Grants for the Arts. Good luck - I hope you try.
