On Monday, April 29, the Wildcats hosted their lone home meet of the year, and they showed how well they know their own course.
They scored a 298, which is believe to be only one stroke off of the school record of 297 recorded just a few years ago. They beat Princeton by 29 strokes as the Tigers came in second. They were almost 100 strokes in front of Cambridge-Isanti, who shot a 396.
The team was stacked up and down on that day. Bakken shot a 72 to lead CL on their home course, and Ben Forsberg carded a 73. Jackson Waltman had a 75 and Will Forsberg had a 78.
Sam Helland, who was playing junior varisty, carded a 75 and would’ve lowered CL’s score by three strokes if he had been varsity. “He’s getting a shot to play varsity after that round,” Rogers said excitedly.
